THE second day of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in Thurrock brought more great scenes as communities came together to have a good time and show their national pride.

Friday, 3 June was a great successor to the previous evening's beacon lighting which saw events from Purfleet in the west to Fobbing in the east and beacons lit points in between including Bulphan, Tilbury and Coalhouse Fort.

The High Street in Horndon on the Hill was closed for a sit down celebration by residents from the village.
