BOROUGH residents and motorists are reminded that from 9pm this evening (Friday, 18 March) the A13 will be closed in both directions between the A1014 (Stanford-le-Hope) and A128 (Orsett) junctions this weekend, for road surfacing, lining and lane re-alignment works as part of the A13 widening project.

The closures will remain until 5am on Monday, 21 March with traffic diverted via the A1013 Stanford Road instead.

To minimise the impact on residential areas, Thurrock council is asking road users not to divert through nearby towns and villages, with non-local traffic asked to use the A127 to avoid causing congestion.
