POLICE are urging witnesses and victims to come forward following an incident of mass disorder in Tilbury last night (Thursday, 17 March) after a large fight had broken out in the street outside the Irish Social Club in Dock Road just after 10.20pm.

Detective Inspector Phil Moulsher, who is leading the investigation, said: "We know that Tilbury is a small, tight-knit community, and we want to make sure that we get to the bottom of what happened last night.

"We believe that a number of people were seriously hurt last night – we need to make sure they're okay and we need to know what happened in the lead-up to this incident so that we can bring people to justice for this violent, reckless behaviour.

"If you have any information, please contact my team at Grays CID."

If you have any information you can submit a report online via this link where you can use the 'Live Chat' button to speak to an online operator between 7am and 11pm. Quote incident 1418 of 17 March.

You can also call police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.D
