GRAYS saw another successful tribute and awareness day that helps keep the memory and legacy of a Thurrock teenager strong.

Yesterday, (Saturday, 7 September) the borough-based AOFAC (Anthonia Oyindamola Folakemi Afelumo Coshare) Foundation hosted its annual awareness event in Grays.

The first part of the event was a fundraising walk through the street of Grays (which took place in tandem with events around the world)

The Foundation was set up following the death in 2012 of Anthonia, a gifted young Grays student.

Her memory lives on and Saturday's event was well-supported and a stall in the High Street enabled the sharing of lots of information to residents about the Foundation's work.
