Arrest follows report of assault in Grays

POLICE have arrested a man after receiving reports of an assault in Grays.

Officers were called to Lodge Lane and the Rectory Road area to the rear of the Oak pub at 1.10am yesterday, Sunday 5 June.

A man suffered minor injuries.

A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH, possession of class A drugs and robbery. He has since been released under investigation.

Police enquiries are ongoing, and officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam or doorbell footage to get in touch.
