THURROCK Foodbank has issued an appeal for help as it approaches a point where it has almost run out of bags for its clients to carry their food home in.

A statement from the Corringham-based charity, whioch operates through a number of venues across the borough, says: "We really do we we hope that people help us.

"Sadly we recently reached another milestone, we have now fed more people in Thurrock since the 1st April 2022 than we did in the whole of the previous 12 months.

"Demand for our services continues to rise.

"People can please donate bags as they do food or respond by email to [email protected]."
