Borough's young dancers shine in world competition

YOUNGSTERS from Thurrock's Stanford-le-Hope-based Youth Creation dance group came away from a major competition with a host of trophies.

The kids from the performing arts school attended the Global Dance Organisation's (GDO) World 2023 street dance competition held over two days in Crawley and came away with the accolade of world champions.

First place went to Youth Creation's 16 and over mega crew called YC Elite and other age groups also shone in competition with team prizes.

Soloist Lois Harrison was third in the 10 and under category and Gracie Teager third for 16s and over.
