Bulphan Ladies have a busy time

By Neil Speight 24th Dec 2021

AS the year draw to as close, Bulphan WI have reported on their latest meeting.

President Jan Curtis says: "Members would have given Santa's elves some stiff competition with their productivity at our November meeting with nearly everyone having a go at the four craft activities available, including making the currently fashionable Gonks, several of which were donated for our stall at the church bazaar.

"One talented member made two beautiful winter floral arrangements which were available to buy along with jams, chutneys, willow crafts, crochet and knitted items, garden aprons, gingerbread and much more, luckily the table was able to take the strain.

"Four of our members were presented with certificates to mark the anniversaries of joining our fab WI.

"December saw us out out for a festive meal and we're back in the village hall for 12th January 2022 with a talk from Essex Federations Lead Climate Ambassador about the small steps we can take to make a change. A locally based eco cleaning supplier will also be joining us to explain about why we should think about switching to more environmentally friendly products.

"Updates about future meetings, information, photographs, and much more can be found on Facebook at Bulphan Women's Institute and on Twitter @bulphanwi or contact us via Secretary Janet McCheyne on 07752836902 or email [email protected]."
