Call for inform,ation following sad incident in Stanford

POLICE have repeated a call for witnesse to an incident that happened in Stanford-le-Hope earlier this month which ended with the death of a local man.

It happened on Butts Lane in the town shortly after 8.30pm on Monday, 5 December when a man was taken ill at the wheel of his vehicle.

Despite the best efforts of nearby residents and East of England Ambulance Service who transported him to Basildon Hospital where he later died.

Police are still looking into the incident and in a bid to conclude the onformation that is required by the coroner's office, have once again asked anyone who might have following reports of a single information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with them.
