Call for Thameside campaign support as action group hosts consultation event

AN event will take place this evening (Wednesday, 4 October) as part of the campaign to save Grays' thretened Thameside Theatre.

The Thameside Complex Business Plan Consultation will h=be hosted at the Orsett Road venue from 7 to 8pm this evening.

The Save Your Thameside campaign is run by a community action group, supporting Thurrock International Celebration of Culture and Thurrock Lifestyle Solutions CIC - two not-for-profit companies - who are bidding toi take over and restore the complex.

The aim is to create a venue run by the community and a spokesperson says: "We would like to invite you to a meeting to discuss our plans for the future of the Thameside Complex.

"As a continuing part of our consultation with the community we want you to be involved, it's important for you to be part of our plans moving forward.

"We need your input which is so valuable to us as we hopefully move forward to transitioning the Thameside into a thriving Arts and Culture Hub.

"So please join us for an overview of our plans for the future and an Q&A session.
