By Nub News Reporter 11th Feb 2026
POLICE in Thurrrock are asking residents to submit videos of lawbreakers in a bid to cut down the blight of off road scramble and quad bike riders.
In a message to residents Thurrock Police, where its own team of officers are trained to ride police scramblers and quad bikes to meet the offenders on equal terms, say: "Operation Caesar is a police operation that runs across Thurrock focusing on the unlawful use of off-road vehicles.
"While quad bikes, three-wheeled bikes, trail bikes and some other two-wheeled vehicles are built for off-road use, it is against the law to ride them in public parks or on publicly owned land without permission from the local authority.
"Officers from the Community Policing Team have created an online portal for Thurrock residents to submit their videos or CCTV footage of any off-road driving witnessed.
"This link has been created to allow members of public to upload any phone/CCTV footage they have obtained of those committing offences within the above criteria, this footage may assist police with prosecuting those responsible or help build an intelligence picture. Please send us your videos."
