A LOCAL hospice charity is looking for volunteers who can spare few hours of their time to assist in its charity shop in Corringham.

The Havens Hospices shop is located on Grover Walk. Along with the charity's other 22 shops across Essex, it helps raise vital funds for children, young people and adults living with complex or incurable conditions across the county.

The shop is looking for volunteer assistants to work on the shop floor to help with assisting customers and sorting stock.

Oz Simsek, Volunteer Services Advisor at Havens Hospices says: "If it wasn't for volunteers Havens Hospices would not be able to provide our specialist hospice care free of charge to those who need us during difficult times.

"Our volunteers at Havens Hospices are incredible and vital to the work we do – they have continued to support our charity during the pandemic, especially our shop volunteers who have given up their time to allow our shops to reopen so we can continue to raise money after restrictions have eased.

"Volunteers at Havens Hospices come from all walks of life and ages and achieve extraordinary things, so if you think you have some time to spare and would like to make a difference by volunteering in your local Havens Hospices shop then why not enquire today?"
