A COMMUNITY has been rallying to an appeal to help find a missing dog in the borough.

The owner of Rolly, an 11 month old pup, went missing at Davy Down at the weekend.

Owner Marina Hill says: "Please spread this post to as far as It can go to find my boy alive.

"Time is running out and we need to do and get everyone to search all around he area.

"I know it's cold outside and raining but if it means saving this baby's life then wouldn't it be worth it?

Anyone who has information is asked to call Graham on 07857 546330 or check out Marina's Facebook page.

Among those attempting to help is local lost animal charity Pippa's Army. One of its representatives Sue Garrad told Thurrock Nub News: "We have received information regarding two lads on a motorbike at Davy Down at the time he went missing.

I'm trying to reach out to them in case they saw anything that will help us determine if Rolly was in fact picked up and has been stolen.

"Could people please check dashcams and any CCTV around 5.30 pm onwards last Sunday (29 October)?

"So much work and resources have gone in to finding this boy and to not have a single sighting does lead us to believing he isn't out there in survival mode."

Sue can be contacted on Facebook.
