FUNERAL arrangements have now been confirmed for the farewell to much-loved South Ockendon community stalwart Maggie Pollock and there will be ample opportunity for local people to pay their respects.

Maggie's death was reported last month and prompted many tributes.

Her family has expressed gratitude for the many messages of condolence and tributes.

Daughter Lucy said: "Thank you so much to everyone for all your cards, emails and kind words since our mum sadly passed away from a heart attack.

"Myself and my siblings have agreed upon the following details for mum's funeral which will be held at 11.30am on Friday, 10 November.

"We have decided to leave from outside Surestart Nursery as a mark of respect at approximately 10.40am.

"You are welcome to come along and meet us from 10am, the address is Ockendon Family Hub, 2a Afton Drive RM15 5PA. We will pause by mum's house on route to Upminster Crematorium and collect flowers left there, 257 Daiglen Drive, RM15 5AG.

"We will be wearing black (and our poppies) but if you want to add a splash of colour, say a scarf or tie, that would be great.

"Finally our mum supported many, many charities throughout her life and if you would prefer to make a donation to her Memory Pot please click on the link below and the donations will be divided between them."
