THERE was a special event at the Old Plough House in Bulphan when Re-engage Thurrock tea party groups all joined together to celebrate the summer

Regional co-ordinator Loraine Coleman said: "We had the most amazing, memorable, happy afternoon.

"We welcomed some very special guests from Miller, Tesco, The Rotary Club of the Mardyke Valley and Balfour Beatty who have very generously supported Thurrock Re-engage to continue our tea parties and have lovely events like this one.

"A very big thank you to all., and to our very talented Ang and Rog who so very generously volunteer their time to entertain us.

"Also a very BIG thank you our lovely volunteer Paula who organised this wonderful event and all our fabulous volunteers for driving our guests and taking such special care of them.

"Without our wonderful volunteers these special events could not take place

"Thurrock Re-engage is a very special group of tea party guests and volunteers who over the years have made amazing lifetime friendships. Sending you all our love and best wishes for a fabulous summer."
