THE classic film Scrooge, in digitally remastered black and white, will be shown at St Margaret's Church in Stanford-le-Hope next week in the latest Silver Screen Film Club offering.

The free club will open the church doors on Wednesday, 15 January at 1pm.

The event is described as: " A good opportunity to come out and watch a nice movie, make new friends and you can bring a friend. Completely free although any donations are welcome."

Doors open 1.00pm for 1.30pm when the film starts.

Stay after for a coffee/tea, chat and biscuits or cake

The film is Scrooge starring Alastair Sim and Kathleen Harrison in its original black and white but digitally restored.
