By Neil Speight 5th Feb 2020

THE official opening of a new A-Level Centre of Excellence at the Palmer's campus if USP College has taken place.

The new centre is a designated study area for A-Level students complete with spaces for group work, individual study, a debating/presentation area and a mindfulness section.

USP College Principal, Dan Pearson said: "I would like to thank the William Palmer Educational Trust who have funded the project and made this all possible.

"Spaces like this will encourage lecturers to deliver and learners to learn with flexibility. Curriculum should not be static and predetermined but adaptable and dynamic, enabling colleges and teachers to take account both of changes in the external environment and the needs of individual learners."

Borough mayor Cllr Terry Piccolo members of the William Palmer Educational Trust, Governors and staff were present.
