FOLLOWING concern from residents and councillors, enforcement officers from Thurrock Council have visited a homes park site being developed in Linford.

As Thurrock Nub News reported previously, the owners of the site at Walton Hall Farm, are seeking to increase the number of mobile homes they can put on the green belt plot from 31 to 46, but their construction work is already out of synch with a previous granted application - and a number of protected trees have been destroyed.

Today (Tuesday, 4 March) Thurrock Council has confirmed it has acted following information received.

A statement says: "Officers have visited the site and are gathering evidence.

"All evidence will be reviewed and legal advice will be sought regarding the appropriate next steps."

The council also commented on the recent application for an expanded lawful development certificate, saying: "Although this LDC application has been received and validated no decision on approval or rejection has yet been made."

The application - and opportunity to comment - can be found via this link.
