Council shuts down Linford tip for a week to install new Portacabin

THURROCK Council has announced that the Linford Household Waste and Recycling Centre will be closed next week due to 'essential maintenance works'.

A statement on the council's website says the site will be closed for "essential maintenance works". The council adds: "We apologise for any inconvenience."

The message from the council says: "From Monday, 24 July to Friday, 28 July essential maintenance works will be taking place at Linford Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) to install a new portacabin.

"During this time, you will be unable to visit the site."
