AN accident prompted police to close the A128 close to the Orsett Cock roundabout this afternoon (Monday, 20 June).
The exit from the roundabout was closed before 5pm to enable vehicle recovery. It was also closed beyond the turnings for Horndon on the Hill and Orsett, with traffic diverting through both villages.
The road was reopened by 6.30pm.
