A THURROCK village will be left with just one route in and out of it for four days next month as Thurrock Council carries out drainage works.

The council has issued an order closing Orsett Road near to Horndon on the Hill, close to the junction with the A128.

The closure is scheduled to take place from Monday, 4 May and the road will be closed from 8am to 5pm daily.

The alternative and only remaining route to access the village while the closure is in place is to travel either by the A13 or the A128 and Doesgate Lane and approach the village from North Hill off Lower Dunton Road.
