Resurfacing finally underway in Corringham

LONG-awaited resurfacing work on a busy town junction has finally got underway today (Monday, 20 April).

Workers started on the job of properly repairing the much patched-up junction and mini roundabout linking The Sorrells and Gordon Road in Corringham this morning.

The work has been scheduled for some time after complaints by residents and road-users and Thurrock Council had put up signage saying the works would start last week. However, that didn't happened but the team of workers moved in today.

The work means the Sorrells is closed and there is a signposted diversion. Traffic lights are also in operation to ensure the workers' and drovers' safety.

The work could take up to three days to complete.
