Driver fled scene after collision that left cyclist injured
A CYCLIST was injured following a collision with a car, whose driver fled the scene without stopping.
The incident happened at 9.15am today (Saturday, 1 January) in Romford Road, South Ockendon.
A statement from Essex Police says: "Officers attended and established a car and bicycle were involved.
"The cyclist has sustained injuries to their head and collarbone but they are not described as life-threatening or life-changing.
"The vehicle failed to stop at the scene and our enquiries are ongoing to locate it.
