A FILM showing the inside of the State cinema has been broadcast on social media channel You Tube by two people who gained access illegally to the building.

The film shows that work has been undertaken inside the listed building but it is in a considerable state of disrepair.

News has emerged this month of a new planning application by the building's owners, pub chain JD Wetherspoon, to convert the huge building into one of its showcase pubs.

An earlier short film about the state can be viewed here.
