RESIDENTS and drivers are reminded that from tonight, for four evenings and early mornings, HGV traffic that would normally use the Manorway as access to and from DP World London Gateway port will be diverted through Stanford-le-Hope.

Essential bridge repairs mean that the Manorway in Stanford-le-Hope - between A13 Stanford Interchange and the junction with Corringham Road - will be closed to traffic in one direction from 7pm to 5am, from Monday 30 March until Friday 3 April.

• between Monday 30 March and Wednesday 1 April the overnight closure will be on the eastbound carriageway

• between Wednesday 1 April and Friday 3 April the overnight closure will be on the westbound carriageway

Work will take place on the Manorway bridge over Southend Road.

During these overnight closures traffic will be diverted along Corringham Road, Church Hill, London Road, A013 Stanford Road.

The Manorway will remain open in both directions during the day.

Thurrock Council says: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused during these overnight works."
