POLICE officers and the ambulance service attended a multi-vehicle collision on Buckingham Hill Road this morning.

It involved traffic queuing to access the Linford Household Waste Reycling Centre.

Over the bank holiday extended weekend lengthy tailbacks have been report from the entry to the tip, which can only be accessed by northbound traffic.

Several years ago Thurrock Council agreed plans to improve access to the tip and they were granted planning permission. However, the council has not progressed the scheme.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "We were called to reports of a collision involving four vehicles at just after 10.50am today. There were no reports of any serious injuries."
