Girl sustained bruising and grazes after being hit by e-scooter whose rider did not stop

POLICE are appealing for witnesses or dash cam footage after a young girl was struck by an e-scooter rider, causing her to suffer grazing and bruising.

It was reported that a mother and daughter were walking on the pavement in Warren Lane, Chafford Hundred, at 8.30pm on Monday, 22 July when they were approached from behind by a person on the scooter.

The e-scooter struck the girl, causing her to fall. She sustained bruising and grazes.

The rider, who did not stop, is described as an Asian boy, between 14-18, of a skinny build with black, short hair. He was wearing glasses and a grey tracksuit. The e-scooter was black with no lights.
