THREE men have been arrested in connection with the theft of a high value car.

Police were notified of a tracker activation in the Chadwell St Mary area on the afternoon of Sunday, 18 August.

Officers from Thurrock Community Policing Team were deployed to the area and quickly located the BMW vehicle, valued at more than £90,000, at an industrial area off Linford Road.

Three men were arrested at the location on suspicion of theft of a vehicle and handling stolen goods.

Two men, 43 and 21, both from east London, and a 19-year-old man from Tilbury have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

The vehicle has been recovered alongside another two cars from the location.

Inspector Amelia Moore said: "We are rightly focussed on tackling the issue of stolen vehicles and the organised crime groups behind some of these thefts.

"Any vehicle belonging to one of our residents or businesses has the potential to negatively impact their day-to-day activities.

"We will use all resources available to us to help combat this crime and stop people using Essex to carry out those crimes."
