THE clock is ticking down towards the start of this year's Test track run organised by St Luke's Hopsice.

The family fun-filled day at the exclusive Test Track Ten (TT10) races within the grounds of the Ford Dunton Technical Centre at basildon returns on Saturday, 18 May in partnership with Ford Britain Trust.

There will be plenty to keep all ages entertained throughout the day, with food, drink and shopping stalls available on site, including hot food, coffee, ice cream and sweet treats.

You can visit one of the many craft and goods stalls on-site or even create your own sand art, all while enjoying the music and specular atmosphere of the TT10 races.

The TT10 races opens at 8am and closes at 3pm, with the first race – The Fun Run – starting at 9.30am.

Kerry Chambers, Community and Events Fundraising Manager, said: "The Test Track Ten races is a fantastic day out for all the family. There's so much to enjoy in this spectacular setting at Ford Motor Company Dunton, and what's more, you can join us in cheering on all the participants who are helping to raise money for St. Luke's Hospice."

There's still time to take part in the TT10 races. You can register online at www.stlukeshospice.com/tt10 until 4pm on Wednesday 15th May.

You can also register on the day for £25 per runner or wheelchair entry (10 mile and 10 km course) or £10 per runner or walker (2.5km Fun Run). Unfortunately medals upon completion cannot be guaranteed if places are not pre-registered.

The TT10 races includes a 10 mile course, which is smooth, flat and fully accessible to casual and club runners, wheelchair entries and walkers; a shorter 10km route; and a 2.5km Fun Run suitable for the family, with children ages from 5 able to take part.

The length of both the Test Track 10 courses have been accurately measured by an accredited Course Measurer, using World Athletics procedures approved in the UK.
