TWO appeals to the planning inspectorate about decisions made by Thurrock Council planners have been lost.

In one, a bid to build a new two bedroom bungalow at land on Bells Hill Road, Vange, was rejected as the inspector agreed with the council's decision that construction would be inappropriate development in the green belt.

And in the second a bid to build a three bedroom home in addition to the existing two bedroom home at 97 Sabina Road, Chadwell St Mary was rejected because of the adverse effect it would have on the existing street scene and a lack of amenity space for dwellers in the existing building and the new one.
