A VOLUNTEER has been praised for his efforts to make it a sweet Christmas for young people in the borough who care for members of their families.

Jon Fuller is a big supporter of Thurrock Young Carers, a group which supports young people between the ages of eight and 18 who care for a family member, living in Thurrock.

Jon has been working hard canvassing donations of sweets to give to the young people for Christmas.

A statement from Young Carers says: "A big thank you to our volunteers Jon Fuller who has done yet another amazing job in collecting lots of donated chocolate tubs from several local companies, people and supermarkets for our young carers and their families for Christmas.

"And a huge thanks to everyone that donated a tub of chocolates."
