A THURROCK landowner is returning to Thurrock Council with another bid to develop a green belt site on the outskirts of Thurrock.

Ricky Jeffs of Ewen House, High Road, Fobbing, has already tried several times without success to get planning permission for land, which is undeveloped meadow, known as Greenacre off the High Road as the village nears its boundary with Basildon.

He has now submitted a plan for three chalet style single story houses for the over 55s together with a new dentist's practice. The site will include car parking for 15 vehicles.

Mr Jeffs' agent, Chris Nixon of Tilbury-based Your Vision Risk Management tells the council the project will help alleviate the chronic housing shortfall in the borough, as well as proving three or four full time jobs and two part times jobs.
