BUS chiefs have warned young hooligans in Tilbury who stoned vehicles and broke windows on buses last evening that they have been captured on camera and they could well be brought to justice.

Bus services in the town were suspended yesterday (Monday, 1 March) at around 9pm when a large group of youths began throwing objects at Ensign Bus Company's 77A buses from Anchor Fields Park, Brennan Road and smashed two windows on one bus and one on another forcing Ensign to divert the buses.

Similar-looking youths were also seen by King George's Field, Feenan Highway.

Ensign director Steve Newman says this is becoming an ever increasing problem.

He told Thurrock Nub News: "This is an all too familiar occurrence. It was lucky no one was hurt and we can only urge those responsible to think about how their actions could seriously hurt someone.

"We have reviewed the CCTV that all our buses carry and this will be passed on to the authorities where appropriate."
