A RECENTLY renamed charity will be one of those to benefit when a Thurrock man switches on his annual Christmas lights.

Every year Jamie Bagge decorates his home in Whitmore Avenue, Grays, with a spectacular display.

Switch on of 'Whitmores Winter Wonderland' this year is Sunday, 1 December at 6pm.

Santa will be in his grotto, there will be a band playing carols, a big elf on the shelf, snow machines also hot and cold snacks and drinks.

Taking part will be volunteers from Reengage, formerly known as Contact the Elderly' who will be one of the beneficiaries from donations made by visitors.
