AN exhibition is to be mounted in the ground floor gallery of the Thameside Complex in Grays looking back at how Christmas 1942 was celebrated at home, and the impact of the war on people.

It also recognises some of the main events of the year at home and abroad.

The exhibition, which opens on Saturday, 10 December and runs until Friday, 6 January has been put together by Thurrock Museum Volunteers.

It will be open from 10am to 4pm daily.
