Major disruption to c2c services between Stanford and Grays

DUE to a fault with the signalling system between Stanford-le-Hope and Grays there is major disruption on c2c rail services this morning (Wednesday, 4 November)

Train services running through Stanford, East Tilbury, Tilbury and Grays stations may be cancelled or revised. Disruption is expected until 10am.

c2c says: "Rail engineers are currently attending to this issue. We are working to gather more information and will provide further updates as soon as they become available."

Purfleet station is also closed because of a recent freight train derailment.
