Man due in court after peadophile hunters strike

A THURROCK man is due to appear in court tomorrow (Monday, 13 January) after being Brought to the police's attention by a peadophile hunting group.

The 'Innocent Voices' network took to social media with details of their 'sting' operation yesterday.

They praised police for their prompt response.

A statement from Essex police today says: "A man has been charged with four Sexual Communication with a child offences and has been remanded to appear in court tomorrow, Monday 13 January.

"Peter Butcher, 51, of Buckles Lane, South Ockendon was arrested on Friday 10 January after we received information from a third party.

"He is due to appear at  Basildon Magistrate's Court."
