Man seriously hurt by collision while he was crossing road

A PEDESTRIAN was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a collision with a vehicle while he was crossing the road.

The incident happened in South Ockendon on Saturday (11 March) evening on Daiglen Drive.

Emergency services were alerted around 7.20pm when it was reported that the pedestrian, in his forties, was crossing the road at a crossing near to Darenth Lane and the Sancta Maria health centre when he was involved in a collision with a silver Ford Focus.
