Man stabbed and another arrested after disturbance in Grays road

A MAN has been arrested and another has suffered a serious injury after being stabbed in Grays overnight.

The incident happened around midnight, with police alerted at 0.15am today (Saturday, 18 February), prompting a response by police who arrested a man.

A police statement says: "We were called shortly after 0.15am to Milton Road, Grays, following reports of a disturbance involving two men and that one was in possession of a knife.

"Officers attended and found a man, 30s, had sustained a serious arm wound that required hospital treatment.

"A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH and remains in custody for questioning.

"We're asking anyone who was in the area prior to this time that may have information that will help us establish what led up to the assault, to call us.
