THURROCK Mayor Cllr Sue Shinnick recently hosted a successful fundraising event at Stifford Hall Hotel for local good causes.

The afternoon tea event raised a total of £621.25 for Little Havens Hospice and Thurrock Over Fifties Forum (TOFF) – two of the Mayor's chosen charities.

Cllr Shinnick said: "It was an honour to be able to host such a delightful event, for two great causes. It was lovely to see everyone come together for an afternoon of great entertainment in the spirit of supporting two worthy organisations.

"I'd like to thank everyone that attended, and those that donated. I am sure your contributions will be very much appreciated by both Little Havens Hospice and Thurrock Over Fifties Forum."
