Mayor raises flag at Town Hall to mark VE Day

THURROCK Mayor Cllr Kairen Raper raised a flag marking VE Day outside the Town Hall in Grays this morning (Thursday, 8 May).

Prayers were said by her chaplain, Rev Anthony Cho and speeches read by borough MP Jen Craft and Thurrock Council leader Cllr John Kent.

Also present were East Thurrock MP James McMurdock, veterans, councillors and residents.
