More homes planned for villages

MORE green belt land around East Tilbury and Linford is being targeted for housing development.

As well as two major new estates being built in the village in the past decade, planning permission has been granted for a further 230 homes to the rear of the George and Dragon pub in Linford.

And up to 1,000 on land off Muckingford Road Were controversially given the green light by the Planning Inspectorate.

Now developers are seeking up to 550 homes on land behind Gobions Park, with access via Princess Margaret Road.

Summix GET Developments have been told they will need to produce a full environmental impact assessment before they submit a full planning application.
