RESIDENTS, families and care home staff at Leatherland Lodge in South Ockendon were visited by Thurrock MP Jackie Doyle-Price as part of Care Home Open Week.

Families and residents celebrated Care Home Open Week alongside Ms Doyle-Price, who asked residents about their experience at Leatherland and commented on the welcoming atmosphere and personal touches around the home.

Care Home Open Week is a week-long celebration, connecting and engaging with the wider communities and showcasing the features, facilities, and the wonderful residents at Runwood Homes Senior Living.

Care Home Manager for Leatherland Lodge, Kerry Cooper, said: "I felt privileged that MP Jackie Doyle-Price visited Leatherland Lodge as part of Care Home Open Week.

"During her visit, she said it was refreshing to visit a care home that had such a great atmosphere and passion about the home from all members of the team.  I am very proud of our home, team and the dedication each person offers to our residents and their families."
