New faces and new opportunities at Walton Hall Farm

By Nub News Reporter   30th Oct 2025

One of Thurrock's little hidden gems.

A QUIET but but rural shopping enclave in Thurrock has recently welcomed some new businesses.

Thurrock Nub News recently reported on the opening of the Wallace Kitchen Biscuit Lounge and Shop, which offers children's parties, cookie-decorating workshops and fun activities for the little ones, at Walton Hall Farm, Linford, and today we visited the site to meet three more happy new traders.

The Garden Larder and My Pet Barn have opened up in units 5 and 6 at Walton Hall, and share the premises with Maxine English who runs Party Crown.

Thurrock Nub News popped down to Walton Hall to check out the new ventures and meet Bethany from Wallace Biscuits, Jeannette from the Garden Larder (a brand-new Farm Shop, stocked with fresh local produce, plants and gifts), Maxine and Clint, who runs the Woof Company and My Pet Barn - your go-to for pet treats, gifts and dog training - which has supplies for all pets from Labradors to Terrapins and offers walking and bordering for dogs.

Meet them all in our video:

Walton Hall Farm is a quite and safe enclave for mums (and dads!) to take a little time for themselves - drop the kids off to decorate cookies, then pop next door for:

A beauty treatment at Georgia's Lashes or GMC Beauty

A reading or crystal healing at Hayley's Crystal Shop & Hair Salon

A groom for your pet at Sedges Dog Groomers

A slice of cake or afternoon tea at The Cup & Saucer Tea Room

Or unwind with a glass of wine at The Barn
