New priest named for Stanford

ALMOST 11 months after long-serving Rev John Guest said farewell to the parish of St Margaret's in Stanford-Le-Hope, his successor has been named and will take up his post in September.

Rev Guest departed after more than 26 years of service in June last year and he will be replaced by Rev Tom Rout.

Rev Rout is currently Priest in Charge of the Waterfront Benefice Churches, Ipswich, has been appointed as Priest in Charge of St Margaret's Church Stanford-le-Hope with Mucking.
