ANOTHER week of evening disruption to traffic flow because of the A13 widening project will begin this evening (Monday, 6 December).

Thurrock Council reports that there will be a complete closure of Orsett Cock roundabout and all its approach roads will be closed from 9pm until 5am the following morning. This will happen each evening up to and including Thursday.

The A13 main carriageway will remain open.

There will be some daytime disruption at the junction on Thursday (9 December) on the Chadwell St Mary side of Brentwood Road from 9.30am to 3.30pm when stop and go boards will be in use between Welling Road and the roundabout.

Over the whole weekend from 9pm, Friday, 10 December to 5am on Monday, 13 December the whole roundabout and approach roads will be closed.

The council advises drivers to plan journeys in advance to avoid the roundabout and nearby villages.

The A13 main carriageway will remain open over the weekend but there will be the likelihood of delays on the eastbound carriageway between the A128 Orsett Cock junction and the A1014 Stanford-le-Hope junction where traffic flow will be confined to just one lane.
