Police appeal for information following A128 crash

By Neil Speight   21st Jun 2022

POLICE have appealed for witnesses and information following a crash that blocked a busy borough link road for around three hours yesterday (Monday, 21 June).

Officers  were called to reports of a three vehicle collision on the A128 Brentwood Road, close to the junction with the A13 at the Orsett Cock roundabout, at around 3.30pm yesterday.

The collision involved a Vauxhall Corsa, a Ford Focus, and a Volkswagen van. The road was closed for around three hours, with traffic having to access the A13 via Horndon on the Hill or Orsett village.

Police said no one was seriously injured.

A 32-year-old man was reported for failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

A statement from Essex Police says: "We need anyone who saw anything or has dash cam footage to contact us.

If you have any information you can submit a report online at https://www.essex.police.uk where you can use the 'Live Chat' button to speak to an online operator between 7am and 11pm. Please quote incident 671 of June 20.

"You can also call us on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
