Police appeal for public's help as they attempt to track down store raider

POLICE have called for the public's help as they continue to investigate a robbery at a local convenience store yesterday (Tuesday, 11 April).

As reported on Nub News, Essex Police operated a high profile action in Stanford-le-Hope after an armed robber entered Rainbow Stores on Corringham Road and made off with cash.

Today the force issued to following statement: "We are investigating a robbery at Rainbow Stores. It was reported a man went into the shop at around 1.30pm and threatened a member of staff inside.

"They then made off with a two-figure sum of cash. Our enquiries are ongoing.
