Police ask for help as they probe QEII bridge crash after driver fled scene

POLICE are appealing for dash cam footage and witnesses after being notified of a collision on the approach to the QEII bridge (A282) at Purfleet, at around midday yesterday (Friday, 18 April).

The collision involved three vehicles and the driver of one of the cars, a silver Mercedes, left the scene prior to police arrival.

Of the other drivers concerned - of a Black Mazda CX-5 and a grey Cupra - one person sustained minor injuries.

All three vehicles were damaged.

A police statement says: "If you have any information, dash cam or other footage in relation to this collision, then please get in contact with us, quoting incident 479 of 18 April when providing any information to make sure it gets to the right person as quickly as possible.
