Police operation on borough roads leads to fines and seizure of vehicles

POLICE have reported on an operation mounted in Thurrock last evening (Thursday, 22 December) when a number of vehciles were stopped - and that led to discovery of a number of offences

The Thurrock Community Policing Team joined forces with specialist teams to conduct Operation Ultimate patrols, to tackle recent reports of burglaries and thefts of motor vehicles in the Aveley and Ockendon area.

The operation ran late into the evening and six people were issued with tickets for a various of traffic offences, including incorrect number plates and careless driving.

In total:-

- 5 stop & searches were conducted.

- 3 vehicles were seized for having no insurance.

- 1 set of cloned number plates were recovered.

- 1 person was issued a ticket for anti-social driving.

- 1 person was positively dealt with for being in possession of Cannabis.
